Celebrity Monday - Marilyn Monroe

I have posted one time HERE about this unforgettable icon - Marilyn Monroe - and of course i couldn't let her out of celebrity Monday...
What is the first things that comes in your mind when you think about Marilyn? wait you may mentioned this scene:
i got say it was the one than came on's unforgettable, beautiful,'s Marilyn... She was (and still is) a "sexy" symbol, but hey a (more than one) Barbie doll was created based on her famous figure. We won't get on this discussion...but do you remember when the "black canary Barbie doll came out?" oh boy, oh boy, the parents must protect the kids of Barbie... - Keep reading here. Anyways, this is not the point at the moment, lets go back to the Blondie ambition lady of this Monday.

1997 Hollywood Legends Collection - Barbie as Marilyn - Three was created

This beautiful Barbie as Marilyn Doll is from the Movie - The Seven Year Itch and from the Hollywood Legends Collection Series. This is a Collector Edition Doll and Barbie as Marilyn is dressed in a full skirted White Crystal pleated dress with Halter Top Effect. She is also wearing faux pearl earrings and white sling backed high healed shoes. Marilyn Monroe, wearing this fabulous outfit was made famous in the scene of Marilyn standing above the grill in the Movie The Seven Year Itch, when her skirt was blown upwards around her legs, her lips pursed and her eyes beguiling. This is probably one of the most memorable photos of Marilyn Monroe. On the back of the box there is more information regarding Marilyn Monroe who was born Norma Jeane Baker on June 1, 1926. Barbie as Marilyn recreates the stunning beauty and sensuality that Marilyn exuded in this famous scene that somehow encapsulates the allure of her life.

From Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Barbie doll as Marilyn shines in a beautiful recreation of the pink satin dress worn by Marilyn as she sings the famous song "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend." Her dress includes the stunning over sized bow with its contrasting black taffeta lining. Accented with incredible accessories, including two rhinestone bracelets, rhinestone necklace and earrings.

2002 Celebrity Collection  - This doll was the first in a officially licence series celebrating the life and career of Marilyn Monroe.She has Marilyn features and wears an ivory chiffon gown with an all over glitter print, a white faux-fur stole,faux-pearl stud earrings and shoes. The dress was designer on the dress she wore when she Sang "Happy birthday "to President Kennedy. 

 2002 Celebrity Collection - Marilyn how to marry a millionaire.

One of the silver screen's most luminous stars, Marilyn Monroe is captured at the height of her talent and beauty in How to Marry A Millionaire. Her face is delicately sculpted, her blonde hairstyle meticulously replicated. She wears a stunning evening gown of deep magenta chemise, an authentic reproduction from the movie. This gift set also includes a second costume inspired by the one Marilyn wore in the film's modeling scene. The bright coral bathing suit and matching cover-up are embellished with silvery lamé insets.

Barbie doll as Marilyn Monroe is the debut doll in the Blonde Ambition Collection, celebrating some of the most iconic blondes in American history! The doll wears a flowing golden gown inspired by one created for Miss Monroe by American costume designer William Travilla. The doll is designed by Sharon Zuckerman.
