Celebrity Monday - Katty Perry

Katy Perry (born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson; October 25, 1984) is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastor parents, Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in her local church as a child. After earning a GED during her first year of high school, she began to pursue a career in music. As Katy Hudson, she released a self-titled gospel album in 2001, which was unsuccessful. She later recorded an album with production team The Matrix and completed the majority of a solo album from 2004–05, the latter of which was never released. If you ask me, yesterday, who's Katy Perry, all i would say is "she's a singer", short and dry, i don't know anything else about this girl, i see her on TV sometimes, don't even know what kind of music she singers, anyways, for one thing she was know by me. Mattel created a doll just like her, exclusively in favor of Charity (benefit Project Angel Food - provide food for those afflicted with HIV and AIDS).

The inspiration was "the California girl" music video. Mattel Barbie designer Amy Lee went into great detail on the Barbie doll, which contains 70 hand-painted cupcakes, a glittered candy cane mic and fishnet stockings with embedded Swarovski crystals.
