I haven't been around here a lot, my life has been crazy and also I'm involved in other projects, so it's always a lot to do, but I don't want the blog let it go as i have done in the past...So i always try to came here as often i can.
Anyways, today the Wednesday Barbie it's not so vintage, but a great find i had last week, which i would like to share - There is a store here, in US called Savers, i don't know if it's only in New England or all over the country, but there you can find anything, from old, old stuff to newer, it's like the "old" eBay "physical" store - everything is used, I go there every so often to find old toys and sometimes I'm luck enough to find a Barbie in the box.
This time i found a fun to dress Barbie from 1989, she's still attached as has never been played with, of course the box is a little mess up, but hey, where I'll find a 1989 Barbie in the box for $6.99. Don't you love a bargain?
Hope everyone have a blessing day!!!

As far as I know, there were three versions of Fun to Dress Barbie: 1988 in pink and white print bra and panties; 1989 in a pink teddy with lace; and 1990 in a pink camisole and panties. All three were sold in both Caucasian and African-American versions.
ReplyDeleteIf you opened up the boxes, there were coupons all three years to send away for Barbie clothing posters. The posters showed the complete lines of outfits for the individual years, and included both the Mattel and Arco lines. I have found them very useful. Not many people know these posters even existed, and I never see them for resale anywhere.
The posters were much more extensive than the clothing booklets for those years.
Hi
DeleteThanks very much for the info, i didn't know that...great to know!
