Celebrity Monday - Grease Movie

"Grease" is an American musical film that come out on 1978, about two lovers (Danny and Sandy) in a 1950's high school. Actors like John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing and Jeff Conaway had their big roles on this movie. Still famous on these days and with a lot of fans out there, Mattel have a collection proving that a movie from the late 70's still lives on our hearts and shelves (Cd's, DVDs and barbie dolls). Grease Barbie Doll - 2003

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the beloved movie Grease, Barbie doll portrays the character Sandy Olsson. She wears a re-creation of the outfit from the memorable final scene of the movie, when the once prim and proper Sandy dons a black leather jacket over a sleek  jumpsuit.

Stardoll Collection by Barbie

I'm not crazy about the "regular" Barbie dolls, if I have to choose i prefer to go with "Bob Mackie"/collectors, accessories (love it!) and furniture pieces ( i guess pretty much every collector). I'm not saying that i don't have it or i wouldn't but it, but i rather appreciate the details on an art type one than the "common ones... Well, anyways...Mattel have change the doll face a lot of times in a year! Bad? it's OK i guess, but I still prefer the old ones, i don't like this too modern style... Feels like, a lot is coming up, that i can't keep up..., i haven't even know how many from the "basic collection" are out there (BTW, great accessories on the line). One more reason to go with the collectible line ones, but hey business is business...just like a new nail polish, lipstick, a blouse, every industry has to innovate i guess. Now, we have the "Stardoll Collection" - i got to least learn about it or I won't even be able to keep a conversation with my niece. These kids today are all about the new toys!! Good luck for me with my adult world responsibilities...

Barbie of the Month - December 2011 - Bob Mackie Fantasy Goddess of Africa Barbie Doll

I was really impressed with the beauty of this doll and I had to placed it as a Barbie of the month.
I know there's nothing to to with Christmas, holidays and blah,blah,blah, but who's to say that it wouldn't be a great and awesome (at least for me) Christmas gift?

This doll was in a long time one of them that made me go: Wow, i would "kill" to have one of it!!!well, if I only had an extra $400.00 lying around...
