Do you what? Mattel could very well come up with a world cup Barbie collection, the championship would be presenting a gold label with just a 10.000 release for the winner, would be fun see it with every country soccer uniform on it!!! In my opinion every flag has it's beauty and I'm sure every doll would as well.
Isn't it? Do you know those days than you just wonder why life is unfair, yes!!! I'm having one of those days...This morning going to work i was stopped by a police office, ok... fine, just checking around...my very first customer today was screaming at me (I'm a customer service representative), on my break time i went outside, got in my car to go get something to eat and guess what? I had a flat tire!!!Well, luckily the guys at work are nice, they did get the job done and when i thought that was it for the day, I got an e-mail saying than i didn't get approved for the time off I had request, which was July 20th trhu july 25th, do you know what that mean to me? well, I won't be able to go on the next Barbie convention in OH, is that fair? Before, I didn't have the money to go, but I had the whole time (off course I wasn't working...), Now that I have the money I don't have the time...Is life really fair with front line employees? We can't have the time off when we really need... Not fair, not fair....And I thought when you are are a kid you can't have everything you want because you don't have the money to buy it, then you grown up, have the money...a whole different history than you already know..
I love it!!!! Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by Mattel, Inc. and launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler (1916-2002) is credited with the creation of the doll, which has grown into an enormous toy empire rivaled by few. Her signature "pink" style appears on almost all Barbie packaging.
One cherished Barbie Doll is the 1963 My Favorite Fashion Queen Barbie in her classic golden-and-white strapless swimsuit! This reproduction remains faithful to the original and includes three wigs on a wig stand, as well as a second 1960s reproduction fashion, 3 collector cards, and a booklet.
Celebrate the sweet life with the first ever Dylan's Candy Bar Barbie Doll. She looks delightful "wrapped" in a colorful dress inspired by the interior of the world's best candy store - Dylan's Candy Bar, and accented with her own candy necklace and over sized rainbow lollipop.
Portugal is embracing the Barbie world's fever with the creation of a Barbie suit in one of their hotel's line, Pestana Sintra Golf. It's for the whole family, by the way. Two floors, upstairs for parents and downstairs for the little ones. This is just following the idea from Paris and Vegas, so pretty soon we'll be able to get a one night stay on Barbie's room hotel anywhere in the word.
I loved this Barbie Basic collection (the only bad part that's an extensive one!!!), but a lot diversity as our world have becoming, a mix of culture and language, for example, today is very common kids growing up learning two languages, or having parents from two different continents, who already head about the generation x? They are the flexible, modern and all about technology, our new/future collectors, but those Barbies are also conservative with our very basic black (that dress that you must have, the one saving your life when you have nothing to wear - or you think you don't), our generation, the boomers still think like it. There's a little for everybody, specially when you take a look on the accessories, you can keep simple or go far as your imagination let you to.
One of my friends have asked what I though about helping her doing a Barbie decoration theme on hers daughter's birthday. Of course I said yes!!!So, I started look over the internet and was amazed how many ideas you cab get from it and be creative. So, I found a couple, which we can use to make our own. Looks like it will be fun!!

Well, i have been away for a couple of weeks now, but I'm back, just trying to get my life on track between school, work, blog...well, let's get to work
Our histories are spanning like all of us, one of our own came from a comic book family, the dad a non-sport collector, previously owning a comic book store, passing from one to the next,a Star Wars passionate. Another of us is a girl with a big imagination living within the world of the perfect doll, Barbie(without the "fresh to be" tag). Another is still training to master that Super Saiyan plateau... With one more searching to find a cure for the mutant virus...
Anyway, if is or not, someone, us, you, our kids, always we have to keep up the comic book world, otherwise, if it stopped in the past, we would not be here, maybe this history of once newspaper turned CG would be forgotten...the good knowledge must always be existing...Come enjoy it!
