Life happens, things changes and I'm a new person. At the moment, I have decide to give a undefined break here. I may come back, I may not...too many things happened and be a Barbie collector is not a priority for now.
I really enjoyed the time and the friends I had made. I'm very grateful for all the wonderful people I had contact here, but it's time to let go and wish you all all good and great things :-)

Vintage Wednesday - 1964 Vintage Brunette Swirl Ponytail Barbie Doll #850
I found this doll on eBay(pictures are from eBay)and I had to share here...she's in a great condition as there are no green marks on her ears or anywhere to be found on the skin and the colors looks so vibrate that I wonder how this doll has been stored, I'm impressed to see a doll in a good condition like this considering she's from 1964!
The dress is not the original one, the one in the picture is actually from a fashion Barbie set called Barbie fun and games (#1619)
Her hair was not redone, it contains the original hair lace as well.
Eyes and lips with original paint.
I wish I could put my hands on one like this...
Happy Wednesday to all!

Celebrity Monday - Goldie Hawn
Wow! I'm getting old...I remember having a lot of fun watching movies that Goldie Hawn was on it, she looked fresh and young, but yes, the time has passed and I can say that she had done not one but a extensive list of movies, shows and likes. She was so funny and did such a great job that along her career she has always done her part very well as a actress.Goldie Jeanne Hawn (born November 21, 1945) is an American actress, film director, producer, and occasional singer. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldie_Hawn)
Her curriculum is very, very extensive, so let's get the nail in the head! The Barbie was was based on her well know role as a go go dancer on a variety show called Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. I'm sure she must be on the most beautiful ladies in the late 60's list...I'm glad Mattel was able to caught her talent and make the doll. A sample of her role on the show...
Only thing...this doll is for collectors who appreciate a nice doll and understands why she was made. You don't want have to explain to a kid why she has tattoos all over, for example, nothing against giving it for a kid, but even on Barbiecollector.com says she's for the adult collector! It's a piece of art with reasons behind every detail. She's a black label doll and it was released on 2009.
Mattel had done a really good job on this one, face and character wise, details were very well placed and showed.
What do you think, did you like it?
Have a great folks! God Bless you!
Xoxo

Skipper 50th Anniversary Doll
I haven't been on Barbie Collector.com for a long time and today when I was browsing around the website, I'm sure it's nothing new...This doll caught my eyes. I think it was a very good idea from Mattel, since Skipper's lovers can add this piece of cutie to their collection.
The doll is a re-creation of the fashion outfit above. According to fashion doll guide this set is very rare to find, specially the whole set.
I like the "old dolls", some of you may know my preference for the 80's looks ones, but for me the "modern vintage look" on the new one was the best, i really like it!
She's a gold label, a 2014 vintage reproduction and it's sold out on barbiecollector.com - actual price was $39.95, but you can get on eBay, if you are lucky, for no less than $100 plus shipping and handling.
Ps: Pictures are from Barbie Collector.com
I also found a picture, on eBay, where you can check the doll in the box
Really nice!!
Good Thursday Folks!
