Vintage Wednesday - OOAK(One of a Kind)

I like to see how some people can sew (handmade) little pieces of clothes and how "real" they look, I think it's because I can't do it, despite the fact that I used to make my own Barbie's clothes when I was a kid, well I tried, didn't mean they looked right...I wonder how I never made in the fashion industry!LOL. Anyways, I got some actions on Ebay of some "vintage outfits" made by good tailors. so, of course, people are bidding!

These are from 2010rocksbarbie seller: As stated in the auction, dolls are not included just the outfit, great for those who love dioramas.

And, also I just want to make clear. I don't know these sellers and I'm not doing any type  of advertisement here, I'm just sharing my "finds".

Barbie Fashion day!

I'm zero times zero equal zero educated in fashion trend, I usually buy pieces and luckily they match in the end, but don't ask me about, we'll get nowhere...

Well, for some of you who follow me a while now know that I like makeup, so I tried to dress up a little when I use makeup to go out, so I have to search around what's going or, or I may ended up using a 80's outfit on the 21st century.

Anyways, this is not to talk about fashion, but to share one of my finds on the internet world. There's a website called Polyvore, which I had found by searching on Google. I guess it helps you shop a whole outfit without going wrong. To be specifically, I had found a  profile (http://jboothyy.polyvore.com/) that has a creative and likeable, by me, way to match clothiers and accessories.

OK, OK, she got my attention cause she made some Barbie's ideas outfits ones, so I decided to share here with you guys (Don't worry the blog won't became a fashion blog, promise...Hum, maybe I just got some idea...)

Welcome back!

Hello everyone!!!

Wow, it has really been a whirlwind of happenings for me!

I want to begin by apologizing for not writing sooner, as some of you may have known, I have been unable to communicate with the community due to my limited ability to contact anyone, as I have been out of the country visiting my family...

This has been both a great time for me and a sad one for the cafe', I want to be the first to tell you all thank you very much for the ones whom have stayed in touch and I warmly thank you all for your concerns.  I feel very happy in knowing that there is such a warm and understanding community that I can call both friends and family.  Thanks for all the support.

Next I just wanted to mention, I had left open a contact page for anyone whom wanted to reach me more directly.  Until now, I have been unable to fully access this tool, and only now have been able to use this application in sync with the cafe'.  I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused, In the event that you may have felt ignored, this was not my intention, I currently have access to only the most recent messages, and am in the process of trying to recover the lost ones.  I will contact you all back as soon as enabled, please don't be discouraged, I will do my best to remedy this issue and I will try not to allow this to occur in the future.  For those of you whom are trying to contact me and are unable to, as always, you can send me an e-mail at, barbiecafel@gmail.com. 

Lastly, I am really excited to be back in the cafe'!  Seeing all the familiar friends and remembering all the fond memories has really gotten my creative juices flowing and has got me energized for the upcoming months...  I can't wait to see what the cafe' has cooking!

Celebrity Monday - Country Rose Barbie Doll

Today I won't "talk" about someone in special, but a place very know by the country music industry, The Grand Ole Opry. It's a weekly country music (also bluegrass, folk, gospel and comedy performances) concert located in Nashville, Tennessee since 1925.

According to Wikipedia it's has been called  the "home of American music" and "country's music famous". Nowadays the presentations are broadcasting as a Saturday night  shows to nearly 30 states and and also is on radio nationally since 1939. Some of the well know country music singers are regular in the stage:
