Barbie Dollhouse Dream Townhouse Playset - New Color

I haven't even got the old one...to be honest i didn't like the new color that much. I prefer something soft. This one suppose to be ultimate luxury home, and newly renovated, it's like the old one got painted and that was it. Three  stories including an elevator, lights and sounds. The furniture is included, nice! I still...prefer the old one...

The first floor features a dining area, fully stocked kitchen and elegant, light-up chandelier. The second floor has a living room with a TV and roaring fireplace, plus a signature-style bathroom. On the third floor is a posh bedroom suite with canopy bed and an outdoor balcony with a hot tub and tiki lights that really light up! Sounds include a doorbell, kitchen timer, crackling fireplace, running shower water and flushing toilet.

Vintage Wednesday - Barbie doll restoration

I haven't had a chance to put my hands on a real Vintage Barbie, they are not my favorites, i have said it before, my passion are on Tina Turner decade...But, I would like to have one, sure!

When time comes, I may not be able to get a "new" one, maybe undressed, with "no good" hair and things like that. Well, you can still make sure you look at some important things before getting one. Would be wonderful if you know the doll you are buying, the year, the model, and more, if possible, which one it's, then take a look on the condition of the hair, if it's the same style, if had been cut or changed; the paint condition (face, nails), body (arms, legs, neck and head - if they're loose), don't forget the ears, some of them have a greenish on it. So, depending on all of that you can see if it's worth to pay the price asked or if you can actually get a "not so good" one and have it restored. I found some pretty good websites about it, the restorations are fantastic!

This is just one that i found, you may be able to found some other people and maybe compare prices and see what it's better for your pocket and collection.

Do you remember the "buzz" about people "liking" someone on Facebook idea of a bald Barbie? Now, the kids dealing with hair loss will be able to play with a doll that "can" do the same as themselves, like use a wig, scarves or hats because it's official that Mattel will be making a bald Barbie Doll sometime soon. According to "Fox news" you won't be able to find it in stores:

Rather than selling the dolls in stores, Mattel plans to donate them to children's hospitals and other medical centers in the US and other countries. "We have offered small quantities for our Mattel subsidiaries internationally to provide to charity partners in various other countries," Mattel spokesman Alan Hilowitz said in an email to AFP Tuesday. "We made the decision not to sell these dolls at retail stores and profit from them, but rather more directly and immediately get these into the hands of children who can most benefit from a play experience with these dolls."

Good? Good, but we know it's not actually the first time that Barbie "appeared" to us like that. In the past we had some dolls that we could actually change the wigs, hats...a bald one.Nice now, that Mattel will embrace the cause dressing the shirt and really going public. Great Job!!
But...I would like the chance to get one... :-(

From Doll Genie----- Mattel is poised to release a Katniss Everdeen Barbie Doll from the popular series later this year which will be introduced by Barbie Collector, a division of Mattel which features Barbie dolls dating back to the 1980s. While the release has been met with some skepticism as to whether the brutal elements of the Hunger Games trilogy fits with the Barbie brand, Mattel says the doll will be aimed at the adult collector. The exact release date has yet to be revealed, and its not known if the doll will be available before the first Hunger Games movie premieres on March 23.
