Celebrity Monday - Cyndi Lauper

OK, if you were alive in the 80's or grew up then, you have heard this song, and I love it!!!one of those that you can dance around the house and put all the bad energy away, just by listening, makes you want to move.

Cindy Lauper is an America singer, a songwriter and an actress.

She first achieved success in the early 1980s with the release of her debut solo album She's So Unusual in 1983, which was an instant commercial success.
Lauper has released over 40 singles and, as of 2011, had sold more than 50 million worldwide.[3][4] and 1 million DVDs and 20 million singles,[5] She has won numerous awards, including Grammy, Emmy, MTV VMA, Billboard and AMA. In 1999, Lauper ranked No. 58 of the 100 Greatest Women of Rock & Roll by VH1.[6]

The Barbie doll was released on 2010 as part of the Ladies of the  80's Collection. She's a pink label.

Notice the photo where she has "orange" hair? This doll's hair goes one step further than the real one, the creator decide to go red/orange/yellow with this, giving the doll's hair a perfect color. The fabrics of her clothes looks great, with a rich taffeta for her skirt, and fabric with a lace overlay making up her corset. She is also wearing a plastic flower necklace, three metal chain bracelets, and a black/gold elastic cord ankle bracelet over her fishnets.

As far the appearance, I can't say Mattel haven't try to make the doll look like Cyndi. The Teresa head mold was a perfect fit to it, as the mouth and cheeks mimic Cyndi's face very well.

So far, so good folks! Based on online reviews this doll is so far the better, looking wise, of the three on this collection.

Wishing you all a great week!!!
