Vintage Wednesday - 5th Barbie doll - 1961

In 1961 the Bubble cut hair style is introduced in the Barbie' world, remember she's got "modern" style to follow...Her skin looks shine and most of the dolls are presented with red lips.The same year Mattel also makes the first red head, called titian. To make sure you get a real vintage 1961 on your hands look for the trademark description on the bottom right-hand side cheek, not found in reproductions.

Yes, sounds kind weird, but i never "heard" of Heidi Klum before until the Barbie doll, her face was know by me, but i didn't know who she was, her name or anything else, I'm not into on fashion and likes... well, now i do...kkk Barbie is culture too...

Vintage Wednesday - Barbie #4

A barbie numero 4, pra mim nao difere em nada das tres primeiras, olhando de cara eu nao saberia dizer qual e qual se fosse o meu primeiro contato com ( as foto) elas, no entanto tem algumas "coisitas" especificas para identifica-las. A grande diferenca nessa boneca e o material usado, essa vesao traz um tipo de "vinil" qua nao desbota, sendo o caso das bonecas anteriores, como se tivessem sido manchadas pela acao do tempo, nao esqueca que ela tambem nao tem os furos no solado do pe e o cabelo tem um penteado diferente dos das outras.E bem dificil de identifica-las, mas claro nao impossivel, nada que um bom treino nao resolva...

New Barbie Movie: A Perfect Christmas (2011)

The holiday of Barbie and her sister Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea gets an unexpected turn during the holidays. After their plane by a snow storm is diverted, the girls find themselves far from their planned dream vacation in New York. Stranded in a remote inn in the small town Tannenbaum see their dream vacation even more in the water. But soon they experience magic moments and are hospitably welcomed by new friends. Thanks for the overwhelming reception, they put their musical talents to provide a performance for the entire city. The girls quickly see that just being together the most important thing for a perfect Christmas celebration.
I haven't watched it yet, looks a "OK" movie according to the trailer, sure i will put my hands on it some time :-)

Celebrity Monday - Madonna

I know, i know...I'm not crazy...there's no such thing as Madonna Barbie, well, but she's a celebrity (Barbie and Madonna) and despite Mattel concern about the public reaction, like happened with Black Canary Barbie doll, I still think she deserves her own doll, Gezz, she was a icon of the 80's (for me was the gold ages, well, i was a kid back then...the best years of my life was the 80's...miss it..). Why not? I heard there was a rumor that she wanted to have her own doll...I even found a pictures online about it...
She's already out there...
