Barbie of the month - march 2010

Saint Patrick's Barbie Doll as a commemoration for the beautiful Irish culture - Festivals Of The World: Irish Dance Barbie Doll

First Saint Patrick's Day Barbie

Are you Irish? Well, you don't need to be, at this days, we actually don't need to be Irish, Brazilian, Japanese, Chinese, American or Mexican to get involved with holidays and culture parties commemorations. We are everywhere in the world... the funny thing about Saint Patrick day if does make you feel better is than the first Irish parade wasn't even in Ireland, as you see...

The first St. Patrick's Day parade took place not in Ireland but in the United States. Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched through New York City on March 17, 1762. Along with their music, the parade helped the soldiers reconnect with their Irish roots, as well as fellow Irishmen serving in the English army. - http://www.history.com/topics/st-patricks-day

So, lets celebrate :-)

Mattel took place with the first Irish Barbie in 1984 -

Barbie and Mcdonald: (almost) a Perfect combination.

I was looking around online and found this toy than I used to have as a kid. It was a McDonald restaurant - http://brinquedoantigo.blogspot.com/2007/09/lanchonete-do-mcdonalds-da-estrela.html - It was so much fun, specially when i had McDonald as the place where Barbie and Ken met for a date. Well, personally, I'm not a big fan of McDonald, I'm sorry the fast food lovers, but it's not one of my favorite food, also i don't thing Barbie would look the way she does if she did eat (everyday) at McDonald's...no, I'm not talking about been thin, but been healthy and look fabulous, man to look like her at 50!!!it's better you change your diet!

The great partnership was on Mattel and McDonald's "pockets" with this creations.

Barbie has a new job, did she quit the last one? Kelly loves to come visit for lunch, because McDonald's is even more fun when your big sister works there? Barbie is dressed in a McDonald's apron and McDonald's cap. Kelly is dressed in a McDonald's-themed shirt with red shorts.
