The Big Debut: Marilyn Monroe Barbie Doll

It's not the first time than Barbie Doll comes as the "famous" Marilyn Monroe, but now she is the "Blonde Ambition"(that two words explain the way I always thought who Marilyn Monroe was, not as a person, but a public figure...I don't know much about her, but looks like she, definitely, was someone who everyone would like to be like it or be with...whatever she was...the Truth for me is, she'll never be forgotten) and again , Barbie brings her up one more time to reminders us that.

Cheerleaders Barbie Dolls

We can love Barbie, but we should never forget than whatever label, special edition, platinum or not for a kid she'll be simply a doll, which can be played with. And, because of that also, we(adults) should remember than Barbie is a doll than the girls want to be like it! That's why she , of course, as a toy, won't be out of reviews...

On her 50Th Anniversary year Barbie, and looking fabulous, did got more that 6,000 votes, but wasn't as a beauty queen, but one of the "worst toys of the year"!

children’s wellbeing
could produce a toy like the Barbie Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader doll. It embodies
a host of harmful expectations about what girls are supposed to be
like.”
Rated by Mattel as appropriate for children age six and up, the Dallas
Cowboy Cheerleader Doll comes with the shortest of short shorts, stiletto boots,
and a revealing halter top. The preposterously skimpy outfit allows
children to get a better view of Barbie’s impossibly long legs and dangerously
thin body.
“When you combine two classic symbols of gendered
stereotypes – the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and Barbie – you get one terrible
toy,” said CCFC

First Barbie's Movie

Barbie's first film had the debut in 1987 with "Barbie an the Rockers: Out of this World". The story was based in the "Barbie and the Rockers" doll line, where feature Barbie as a leader of a rock band. "The special originally aired in syndication as a two-part TV "mini-series" with each installment lasting approximately 25 minutes; part two was entitled "Barbie and the Sensations: Rockin' Back to Earth". The two-part special was later released on video as a single "movie"(wikipedia). The first part has Barbie doing a tour in the earth's orbits to promote world peace and in the second, the band go back to the Earth, has the name change to "Barbie and the Sensations" and go back to 1959, the year than she was created.The film has not been released on DVD.
